WHAT WE DO

Blessing Workshops

Mercy in Action

Community Outreach

Our Blessing Workshops are a vital part of Barns of Grace, where we teach men and women new skills to uplift their lives, their families, or their communities. Guided by Proverbs 19:17(NIV), “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.”

Our Blessing Workshops are carefully structured to provide comprehensive skill development and spiritual growth over a 6 to 8-week period. Each workshop consists of 6 to 8 sessions, with participants (both men and women) attending one full day per week. The workshops are divided into four key components:

Bible Study: Each session begins with a Bible study, grounding our work in faith and drawing inspiration from Scripture.

Theoretical Lecture: Following the Bible study, participants engage in a theoretical lecture that introduces the core concepts and knowledge relevant to the skill being taught, whether it’s sewing, welding and metalworking, urban aquaponics, or fish culture, etc.

Training and Practice: After the lecture, participants move into hands-on training and practice in our training center, where they apply what they’ve learned under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Certification and Educational Diploma: Upon completion of the workshop, participants receive a certification and an educational diploma, recognizing their new skills and knowledge. This certification equips them to seek new work opportunities or start their own ventures, empowering them to create a positive impact in their lives, their families or communities.

In our annual program, we provide food to children from low-income backgrounds, most of whom come from economically disadvantaged families, based on Matthew 25:35(NIV), “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.”

These activities are carried out at the headquarters of our ministry, with the collaboration of volunteers from local churches.

Bible School: We invite a local pastor to join us and share a Bible story with the kids, making this time both engaging and meaningful. The pastor carefully selects stories that resonate with the children’s experiences, offering lessons of hope, love, and faith. Through these stories, the children not only learn about the teachings of the Bible but also discover how these timeless messages apply to their own lives.

Lunch as a Group: is a special time where we come together as a community to serve and share a meal with children in need. This gathering goes beyond simply providing food; it’s about creating a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone feels valued. Volunteers and participants work side by side, preparing and serving nutritious meals to the kids. As we share this time together, we not only meet a physical need but also foster a sense of belonging and connection.

Play Activities & Singing: an essential part of our program, designed to bring joy, laughter, and a sense of togetherness to the children we serve. During these sessions, volunteers engage the kids in a variety of fun games and sing lively songs, creating an atmosphere filled with energy and happiness.

Our Community Outreach ministry invites individuals, both Christians and non-Christians, to use and share their unique skills, abilities, and talents in service to others, supporting the mission of Barns of Grace. Inspired by Matthew 22:39b(NIV),”Love your neighbor as yourself.”

we encourage everyone, both Christians and non-Christians, including teachers, volunteers, and participants to love God and their neighbors by contributing their skills, abilities, talents and time to our various initiatives. Whether it’s through teaching, learning, organizing, mentoring, or simply lending a helping hand, each act of service helps strengthen our community and extends the reach of our ministry. Together, we can make a profound impact, using our God-given talents to uplift and transform lives.

Serving and Learning: integrating faith and divine purpose into each phase of your workshops and outreach activities creates an environment where , both Christian and non-Christian teachers, volunteers and participants grow spiritually, serve with intention, and contribute to fulfilling God’s plan in their communities.

Purposeful Service: Every activity and project is carried out with a focus on service and compassion, reflecting God’s mercy and love.

Spiritual Leadership Development: Train , both Christian and non-Christian, teachers, volunteers and participants to live and lead with Christian values, promoting leadership that is based on service and humility.

who WE CARE FOR!

Skill Teaching

teams are needed to serve in San Fernando. Projects are varied and include repairs on the school and church and completing a Barns of Grace parsonage. Remodeling the internado (boarding home) will provide future housing for people from all over the valley as they attend Barns Of Grace training seminars in Apure.

Medical Teams

Medical teams will visit San Fernando and Guasdualito. Local and provincial health authorities will form a plan for a larger coverage into isolated areas to establish a Community Health Watch Program through training with the local and professional components. Zabdiel Arenas will lead this development area.

Evangelism and Missions

Many Barns of Grace teams bring a VBS component for the children of the community and in the school. One team is planning Christian training for local pastors.
